Rediscover.sg chronicles the adventures of a group of young Singaporean dreamers as they traipse around their island home, wandering the streets and doing little things to remind themselves (and you), why they call this place home.

THE CREW: Three guys… and a girl.

Derek's main goal in life is to seize all Canon cameras, its associated lenses and accessories that human technology can possibly manufacture. He has been blessed with a wavy crop of hair, which according to his dad, it is the main reason why he has so much going on in his head. This creature seldom communicates verbally, instead choosing to use an intricate system of hand signals and (un)intelligible murmuring. He also believes that he has a psychic connection with all cats, possibly the only species that he dares to make contact with on his own accord. This does not bode well with his on-going quest to find a wife. The other male members of the crew often attempt to help this hapless creature with this gallant task, but as the sole female member of the crew distantly observes, it isn't working.

Below that cold, hard exterior, lives a warm man who is sensitive to the needs of those around him. He is one of the most useful assets to the crew because 1) he can actually speak (some) Chinese and 2) aunties adore his pretty face and have told him as much. Jeremy is the champion sportsman of the lot. The aspiring ad-man goes on jogs and soccer is a sport he swears by. He is also a gentle soul despite his ah beng appearance, though some aunties prefer to call it the 'Korean idol band' look.

LIZZY LEE (@lizzaeh) / Lizzaeh
Graphic designer, baker, photographer and animal-lover all rolled into one, Lizzy is the only lady in the crew. If you think that being the only lady on the team puts her in a very disadvantaged situation, you couldn't be more wrong. Headstrong and brutally honest, one thing that Lizzy doesn't know how to give is "chance". A typography narcissist, she dabbles with kerning, leading and condemns comic sans with conviction. Her 'meant-to-be-shared' cookies are so good that they are always 'accidentally' stolen by one of us.

SONG LIM (@limsonglip) / This is Phonography
Song is a warrior, often teased for having 'deceased rabbit legs' owing to his inability to complete the 2.4kilometre jog under 12:20mins. He more than makes up for it with his tenacity by supporting a once-great football team. He is convinced that he has the most developed muscles around and can take down anybody in the world. He is obviously delusional. He also cannot stop smiling. We haven't brought him to a doctor to find out if there's really something wrong with him. Song is the kind of guy who is game to do almost anything. This explains the giant owl ang kong and the weird hairdo that none of us have dared to tell him is weird.
