Have You Heard? Sesame Street Is Taking Over Changi Airport!

Get ready for a major throwback to the good ol’ childhood days. Sesame Street is in town and it has taken up residence at Changi Airport Terminal 3. Billed as the first in Asia, the Inflatable Fun with Sesame Street playground will be a ton of fun for the kids and watching them play would secretly make adults go green with envy.

But that’s not all; the Our Street to Yours pop-up exhibition features life-sized Sesame Street characters like the Cookie Monster, Elmo, and Big Bird.

It has been a good 20 to 30 years since you have seen them, which is nostalgic since Elmo was probably one of your best friends growing up. Take this chance to catch up with some lost memories!

Even if Sesame Street is not your thing, the Those Were The Days shopping promotion may entice you to travel back in time — before you actually travel. You can redeem an entry to play some of your favourite childhood games like five stones and pick up sticks. Or you can redeem some old-school styled gifts like oriental porcelain-themed cushion blankets and heritage-themed travel adaptors featuring some Singaporean motifs.

The redemption corner is set in newly opened Terminal 4 and the counter is made to look like a stationery shop and classroom from the 1970s. From the roof to the decor, to the water tap built at the side, bits and pieces of details have been added to give the place an old-school charm.
