We Took Photographs With The HUAWEI P20 Twilight And It Looks Phenomenal

After hearing all about the massive rave on the new (and cooler) kid in the block, we decided to put the new HUAWEI P20 Pro Twilight to the test. We went around taking snapshots with the phone and we have to say, it lives up to its reputation. If you can’t take our word for it, then take these breathtaking pictures for it.

Twilight Skies

The low light optimisation of the HUAWEI P20 Pro Twilight Night Mode ensures you can capture that perfect sunset. It lets in the orange, pink and purple hues while keeping silhouettes dark to create this magical image. In fact, we dare say that it looks even better than in real life.

Blue Flowers

What better way to capture the beauty of nature than with a close-up shot? The telephoto lens   of the HUAWEI P20 Pro Twilight maintains the sharpness of the photo, even when zoomed in. This brings even the tiniest detail into focus, while blurring the irrelevant. You can see the grains and strokes on each petal, as if Mother Nature painted these flowers herself.

Unicorn Tears

Trying to capture objects with shimmer and glitter might be difficult on an ordinary smartphone camera, but we were surprised at the ease of which the HUAWEI P20 Pro Twilight managed to do so. The little reflections of the pieces of glitter floating in this drink froze in time on our Huawei and the effect is mesmerising.

Blue Velvet Cake

Shooting this was a piece of cake, pun intended. All we had to do was whip out our phones, point, and shoot. The AI object recognition on the HUAWEI P20 Pro Twilight adjusted the lighting and settings according to the surroundings, and voilà — the perfect shot is made. Cafe lighting may not always be the most camera friendly, but the Huawei lets you adjust the white balance of the shot, which means you can tweak the ambience colours to your liking.

Bubblegum Ice Cream

When photographing ice cream, time is of the essence. This is why the automatic stabilisers, object recognition, and the intelligence of the HUAWEI P20 Pro Twilight came in so handy. It cuts down the time needed to adjust your settings, which lets you capture the perfect moment, in this case, before the ice cream melts.

This artistic shot was done with Huawei’s Monochrome setting on the camera, which instantly turns everything vogue-ish. It is perfect for shooting architectural shots, where the design and geometry is emphasised due to the lack of colour. Another thing monochrome can be used for is as a quick fix for your bad quality photos. Maybe your photo turned out too noisy, or the colours came out wrong; pop the monochrome filter and witness instant stylishness!

The most hyped feature about the new HUAWEI P20 Pro Twilight probably came from its camera’s ability to snap incredible night shots. The Night Mode function lets you take long exposure shots without the need for a tripod.

Are you not impressed by the quality of photographs the P20 Pro Twilight can give you!? After taking the phone out for a spin, and amassing a collection worthy of a photography exhibition, we’re convinced that there is really nothing it cannot do. With its intelligence, quickness and the great flexibility of camera settings, you can turn any ordinary sight into something extraordinary. Get the HUAWEI P20 Pro Twilight today and let it sink in!
